A4C Needs Your Bibles
On the 8th of May 2010, A4C are hosting a mammoth Family Day at the RMFJ (Real Men Follow Jesus) Camping Grounds in Pretoria and invite YOU and your family to come and join in the celebrations and fun for the day. The main aim of this event is to collect 50,000 Bibles from the public in order to distribute to the needy as well as to feed two hundred (x 200) children from the Sonop Children’s Home in Pretoria on the day.
A4C, motivated by their Bible distribution milestone for 2010 to raise 50,000 Bibles, decided to host this adventurous Family Day to see how much of their target they could reach (with your help) in one day.
Not only is this Family Day a date to diarise on the calendar of everyone living in the Gauteng province, it’s also an opportunity for YOU to get involved and to show that you care about God’s word and spreading it across the nations. Moreover, the A4C Family Day is going to be an event filled with fun, adventure, laughter and activities for old and young alike.
“Revival is around the corner and people around the world are thirsting for it without them knowing about it. Jesus is standing ready to move and it is our responsibility to get His word out there,” says Dewald Rosema, co-founder of Adventures 4 Christ.
“Christianity is not boredom, nor is it death. When you give your life to Jesus you experience the true meaning of being alive,” continues Dewald, “and A4C is a group called to support and uplift, showing the world how much fun we can have in this world. We are in the world but not from this world and we need to live it.”
Activities and facilities available at the A4C Family Day will include, naming but a few, food stalls, gospel performers, exhibitors of all kinds of goods and even an Infant-care facility. There will be a fleamarket for the women, countless exciting activities like face painting, jumping castles and carnival rides for the children, and adventure activities like and model cars and power biking shows.
In addition to all of this, there will be countless competitions – involving the entire family, young and old – running the entire day. One such competition is the Potjiekos Competition where Churches, Care Groups or individuals can come and compete for the title of “Potjiekos Maestro” or “Boeresports Champion”, amongst others.
“The A4C @ RMFJ day is a fun filled day for the whole family, to bring groups, friends and family together,” concludes Dewald. “We want to invite old and young, Christian or non-Christian to this family day with a difference.”
Come and join in the celebrations, and don’t forget to bring your bible-donations along!
Donations can be done by way of the following means:
- Bring your old/unused Bibles and donate on the day
- Sponsor a Bible financially (to be bought)
- Companies/Individuals can do challenges against one another
